Artificial intelligence (AI) is transforming the business landscape in ways that were unimaginable a few years ago. To understand the current state of AI/GenAI adoption in businesses in India - IMA India, in collaboration with Thoughtworks, conducted a survey in January 2024. Drawing on responses from over 90 companies to an IMA survey, it provides an overview of CEO and CFO perspectives on AI applications, organisational readiness and the barriers and perceived risks around AI adoption.
The report also delves into the impact of AI on business models, revenue growth, innovation and cost reduction as well as the associated challenges around the adoption of Gen AI. It also considers the big ‘elephant in the room’ – how AI is likely to impact workforce size at the company level, and employment/unemployment at the macro level.
The research report, which can be downloaded below presents some of the mitigation steps and best practices that companies are adopting in this regard.
